Now that it’s full-blown sweater weather and fall fashion is in full swing, we’re dreaming up ways to dress up some of our go-to pieces from L’Étoile Sport, like our chic and cozy Club Sweater and Racquet Sweater.
Made for both performance and play, these sweaters are our must-haves whether we’re on the court, at the clubhouse or just taking a stroll on a sunny Saturday. They’re lightweight, but substantial enough to keep you warm, plus they’re made from 100% Merino wool making them ultra soft to the touch. And since nobody has time for dry cleaning, they’re machine washable as well.
If you’re taking on the back nine, our Club Sweater layers perfectly over our Breezy Polo paired with our Striped Golf Pant for a polished look that allows you to look and play your best. To dress it up, we recommend swapping your golf shoes for heels and your caddy for an eye-catching purse — more on that below!
Our Racquet Sweater is the coziest layer to throw on as you move from mornings on the court to lunch at the club, or from afternoon lessons to school pick up and date night. In eye-catching yellow, you can layer it with any of our L’Étoile Tennis Skorts and your favorite tennis sneakers. Or, play with seasonal proportions and mix it up with some wide-leg trousers and pair of mules.
Here are two of our favorite ways to wear our Club and Racquet sweaters this season.
Club Sweater
Jeans
We’re always on the hunt for a too-good-to-be-true pair of jeans, and Mother consistently delivers. Our current obsession? The Hustler Ankle Fray in Sorry, I’m Staring, a classic medium blue denim that hugs your body in all the right places and ends with a feminine flair just above the ankles. Accentuate the flattering high-rise cut by half tucking your Club Sweater.
Bag
Red accents are all over our fall mood board, and this Altuzarra Small Braided Lambskin Hobo Bag is cherry picked to go with our Club Sweater. The pop of color brings out the knit’s red accent and the braided handle adds a delightful bit of texture to any look. It’s a playful classic with a sophisticated edge.
Flats
There’s no chicer shoe for fall than Mary Jane flats. They’re easy to slip into your golf bag and comfortable to slip on after hitting the 19th hole. These black velvet darlings from Le Monde Beryl are a purchase worthy of your capsule wardrobe, thanks to their timeless design.
Headband
If you’re anything like us, your hair might be in need of a little TLC after a few hours on the golf course. But that’s nothing some dry shampoo and a stylish headband can’t fix! Auden’s Stella Headband is refined and adds a subtle sparkle that doubles as a sneaky quick fix for hair that’s seen better days.
Racquet Sweater
Pants
Is there anything more classic for fall than a wool sweater and a great pair of wide-leg pants? We’re head over heels for La Ligne’s Soirée Pant, which have a high-rise cut that makes your legs look miles long and are perfect for taking you from après court to, well, a soirée. The classic black lets your Racquet Sweater stand out as a perfect conversation starter.
Bag
Staud makes some of the season’s most sought-after pieces, and their Bean Convertible Leather Clutch is one of our current crushes. The ruched leather is a trendy touch that adds polish to any look, and we love that you can hold it as a clutch or use the slim arm strap to carry it from the clubhouse to a night on the town.
Mules
After giving it your all on the court, you’re going to want to step into something easy. These Margaux Ballet Mules are stylish, feminine and super comfortble thanks to a hidden plush foam insole. Elegant and effortless, they’ll look great peeking out from the La Ligne pants.
Earrings
Add a touch of glam with these Alexis Bittar Dream Rain Wire Drop Earrings. They’re eye-catching without calling too much attention to themselves, made from 14-karat gold plating and lucite drops. Swap your studs for these beauties on your way from late-afternoon lessons and voilà! You’re ready for date night.
