This summer we decided to partner with the incredibly chic stationery brand Dear Annabelle for our newest collab. Our founder Yesim, is a huge fan of the line and their talented founder Marcie Pantzer. The L’Etoile Sport X Dear Annabelle Aces Notecards feature colorful engraved tennis racquets on crisp white card stock with vibrant envelope liners. The notecards are a wonderful celebration of our love for the game.
To share the story of Dear Annabelle and how the collaboration came to be, we interviewed Marcie. Read on to find out more about the exclusive collab and why it truly is a “match made in heaven.”
What inspired you to launch Dear Annabelle?
Marcie Pantzer: I have always had an obsession with written correspondence — I am an old soul in that way. I have long collected beautiful stationery, pens, and paper goods and always wanted to create a collection of my own that combined the elegance of traditional letter writing with a modern, playful vibe.
What made you want to do a collab with L'Etoile Sport?
Marcie: L'Etoile epitomizes a classic, yet utterly modern sensibility that we're always after here at Dear Annabelle. Though I haven't been playing enough tennis lately, these styles make me want to dress the part and get back on the court.
What inspired the notecard design?
Marcie: We wanted our L'Etoile design to reflect the chic, effortless vibe of both of our brands. The cards feel like an invitation to be playful and carefree.
How did you work with Yesim on the project?
Marcie: Yesim and I have been talking about doing a collab for several years; we know each other through many mutual friends and have always admired each others' work. She appreciates beautiful quality, loves a handwritten note, and I've always adored her sense of style. It turned out to be a match made in heaven! :)
