OUR FOUNDER
Yesim Philip was raised in Turkey where she became the youngest member of the National Turkish Basketball team at age 16. She went on to play professional basketball in Turkey for five years. Tennis has always been a passion and she enjoys playing recreationally. It was Yesim’s perspective as a professional female athlete and club tennis player that inspired her to launch L’Etoile Sport in 2012. The activewear, golf and tennis brand pairs sophisticated style with cutting-edge performance fabrics.
Yesim serves on the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Advisory Board and is the President of the Central Park Conservancy Women’s Committee. L’Etoile Sport is based in New York City, where Yesim lives with her husband and three children.
