Lilly Ingenhoven, a young, German fashion designer, creates luxury ready-to-wear for women, ranging from evening dresses and skirts to fitted blouses. The brand focuses on creating wardrobe essentials that will last and never go out of style.
Their newest line for spring/summer 2016 is inspired by British summers and the sporty-chic effortless style of Wimbledon. At their latest show during Berlin Fashion Week, models strutted on a green runway, made to look like turf, in pleated tops, polo dresses, varsity jackets and flowy, chiffon pants accessorized with white tennis rackets and platform tennis-style sneakers. Above the runway hung a lighted sign that read, “Game, Set Match.”
Although these new garments are not actually meant to be worn on the tennis court or golf course, Lilly Ingenhoven’s collection features similar design aspects to L’Etoile Sport, showing the appeal of sportswear designs in the fashion world.
Take for instance Look 14 from Lilly Ingenhoven’s collection: a dark navy polo dress with white piping detail, it closely resembles the Fix Collar Knit Sweater with striped detailing on the collar and bottom of the sweater from L’Etoile Sport’s Fall/Winter 2015 Collection.
L’Etoile Sport is different, though, in that it’s able to mix high fashion with high function, keeping you fashionable from the court to lunchtime to picking up the kids. Don’t just look like you’re going to the golf course or tennis court, actually dress suitably but also fashionably in L’Etoile Sport’s elegant silhouettes so you can “Play all day,” their living motto.
