Natural beauty tips and how to kick start your Spring
#1) For long and strong hair: Castor oil and Rosemary oil mask.
Your hair always grows the fastest in the spring. Castor oil will get your hair growing even quicker, you can use it on its own or add 3 drops of rosemary oil to give it a boost. Warm up some castor oil, you can add some coconut oil too. Add 3 drops of rosemary oil. Place it all over your roots and spread out the remainder throughout hair. Wrap your hair in a plastic wrap and leave it in for an hour. Wash it out with shampoo and conditioner. Repeat 1-2 times per week. You can also add 2 drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo when you wash to get healthier hair.
#2) Damaging hair habits to avoid
Dry shampoo that’s not made with natural products, don’t use it often or avoid it and brush it out as it clogs hair follicles which can lead to hair loss. If you have to blow dry your hair, wait until your hair is 80% dry, always towel dry first. Avoid high heat, ponytails and flatirons when you can! Keep those as exceptions for special nights out, NOT a daily habit.
#3) For hair, skin and nails: Supplements
Collagen, collagen, collagen! Add powdered collagen to your everyday supplements. Your hair will look healthy and beautiful. It’s also good for your skin and nails. Use the bovine vs. marine form if you also want it to help with joint pain.
#4) Spring Cleaning!
Clean in and out. Do a little detox and give your liver a break. Supplement with some Milk Thistle to support your liver as you do this. Clean out your closets, clean out your cupboards, take your car for a nice car wash. Purge and donate! Let go of the old winter junk and you will feel liberated.
